Color Management Correction PrePress Flexo

Prepress Solutions

Our team of production artists manage the prepress file environment by making corrections to customer supplied art, checking color separations, producing and verifying printable bar codes, applying curves, cutbacks, and screen angles, color correcting spot colors for digital output, color profile management, assessing and selecting efficient workflows, rip management, proofing and more.

Flexo Flexographic Plate making Flexography

Digital Flexographic Plate Making

We can make conventional 2400 ppi or 4000 ppi HD plates either thermal or solvent-based. Our plate material options are DFM, DFR as well as flat top EFX. Combined with Esko HD Pixel + technology we can provide plates (EFX-,EFX-R) which require a thinner film of ink, thanks to tiny microcells, providing much better ink transfers with smaller dot gain.

  • Digital proofing provides predicted results for clients prior to plate making. This allows us to create mock-ups that simulate flexo requirements such as dot gain, highlight bumps, spot color conversions to CMYK, and color spaces on different substrates. Our team of production artists manage the prepress file environment by making corrections to customer supplied art, checking color separations, producing and verifying printable bar codes, rip management, proofing and more.

  • At GEI Graphics, we utilize Esko Imaging Engine Curve Pilot as well as Chromix Curve 3 programs accompanied by X-rites i1iO robotic table, to deliver consistent, color-accurate calibrations. This cutting-edge technology allows us to achieve brand and spot color standards with our extended gamut printing workflows and G7 certified software. Once the press is properly profiled, we can proceed to elaborate prepress production work on the specific project. Finalizing it with PDFs, stepped Epson proofs, color accurate Oris Roland proof and digital plate files.

  • Our QC department prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing ripped data. We optimize quality assurance for digital plates by checking the screening, dots, ruling, angle, density, dimensions, marks, and trapping of each file. Our software allows us to work with multiple separations in color among multiple file versions. These processes ensure consistency, saving customers time and money.

  • GEI Graphics provides full color optimization and characterization with state-of-the-art spectrophotometry and densitometry technology. Our color management software measures Delta E tolerance and density data from fingerprint target charts to gather the behavior of various outputs to then be compared to a standard color space. Our color specialists apply the appropriate curve, cutback, screen angles, and spot color modifications for perfect calibration. Our Roland extended gamut and high-density eco-solvent inks produce accurate and consistent flexographic-simulated proofs.

  • Epson proofing is a preliminary version of the printed piece, intended to replicate how the final piece will appear. These proofs allow our clients to inspect positioning, scale, bleeds, perforations, folds, content, graphics, borders, pagination, colors, and screen values before going to press.
